Which windows are worth motorising?
Any window that's large, hard-to-reach, or operated frequently. On a small bathroom blind the benefit is minimal; on a west-facing living-room wall or a bedroom you want to blackout in the morning, it's a real quality-of-life change.
How much more does motorised cost than manual?
A meaningful premium, but the price gap has closed a lot in recent years. We provide an exact figure per window during the quote — usually it's worth it on select windows rather than the whole home.
Do I need special maintenance?
No routine maintenance for the motor itself. Battery systems need a replacement every one to two years; rechargeable systems need charging when the app tells you. Hardwired systems need nothing beyond the blind itself.
Can I retro-fit motorisation to a blind I already have?
No — we only motorise blinds that Dekoris has supplied and installed, since the motor, headrail, and blind are fitted together as one system. If you have an existing blind from another supplier, we can supply and install a new motorised blind to replace it.
